Grampian Construction Training Group c/o ConstructionSkills, Marr House, Beechwood Park, Inverness, IV2 3JJ Email: Jody Freer Delivering Construction Training and Safety Standards through out The Grampians
The Grampian group is one of the longest running groups in Scotland, the group was formed in 1998 from the amalgamation of the Grampian Association of Civil Engineering Contractors and the Grampian Builders Training Group. The group is committed to promoting training activity to the construction industry and its wider membership is open to all Construction employers and associated industries who wish to participate in training. The group is committed to training in the following areas: Health & Safety, Apprenticeships, Craft Trades & Operatives and Management & Supervisory. Members are invited to complete Training & Development plans for their business on a yearly basis with ConstructionSkills so that training requirements can be delivered locally and training programmes are produced twice a year in Autumn/Winter and Spring containing as wide a variety of courses as is possible to deliver in the Grampians. The group also encourages member companies to highlight any individual training needs as this may result in the development of new training courses, we are also interested in promoting new training initiatives. The group is always looking to increase the provision of courses in the area and is committed every year to maintain 1,000 or more training days. The group recognises the value of industry/education links and is keen to become more involved.
Group members are committed to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) and Scaffolding (CISRS) record schemes and are involved in the On Site Assessment & Training Programme with various training providers from the Grampian area. There is now training provision available for on site assessment of SVQ Levels 3 and 4 in Construction Site Supervision and Management in the Grampian area. Our Grampian Construction Safety Forum and Bulletin pages are located within the Health and Safety Page, please use the main navigation...
